Hurricane Hanna Update

12 noon -- Much of the middle and eastern parts of North Carolina are still experiencing heavy rains and some significant wind gusts. There have been reports of scattered power outages, downed trees and some flooded roads across the central and eastern parts of the state.

Several counties have voluntary evacuations and two shelters are still open.

There have been no reports of injuries or deaths.
